We, activists, organizers, revolutionaries and movements from across the globe, come together today for The People's Summit, a powerful day of international solidarity and resistance against US-NATO imperialism, against the war machine that plunders nations, crushes liberation movements, and enriches the imperialist elite.

NATO is not a defensive alliance but the military arm of US imperialism against its perceived enemies and subjugation of anti-imperialist nations. It is a tool for global domination that has left a trail of blood and ruin from Iraq to Libya, from Palestine to the Philippines. With over 800 military bases worldwide, NATO turned sovereign nations into occupied territories, into launchpads for war, surveillance, and repression.

With US President Trump's return to power and Mark Rutte as NATO Secretary-General, the war-mongering has escalated. Under the guise of "defense" and security," US-NATO has enabled the looting of oil, minerals, and labor, while weapons manufacturers like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing continue to rake in billions of dollars from endless wars.

Trump demanded Europe to increase military spending to 5% of GDP to bankroll US-led wars. Rutte, a loyal servant of US imperialism, pushed for 400% more missile defense systems, while European workers and citizens face austerity, rising fascism, and the criminalization of dissent. These have further fueled NATO’s expansion into Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, financing more interventions and proxy wars. As a result, social programs were slashed, exposing NATO’s true priority: war over welfare, profit over people.

Meanwhile, some European NATO members have surged their military budgets in 2024-2025, bowing to US pressure. Germany approved a €100 billion "special fund" for rearmament, France increased defense spending to 2.5% of GDP, and Poland became NATO’s biggest military spender relative to GDP (4.2%). NATO’s war games also intensified, with record numbers of troops deployed in Eastern Europe near Russia’s borders. The Steadfast Defender 2024 exercises, the largest since the Cold War, mobilized 90,000 troops, while the Baltops and Saber Strike drills provoked tensions with Belarus and Russia.

US-NATO's geopolitical interest in Asia

In its desparate attempt to re-divide the world's resources in its favor and preserve a dying global order, US imperialism under Trump now turns its eyes on Asia, aggressively pouring vast amounts of military resources to provoke and contain China. At the same time, the US continues to use NATO to foment further conflict in the Middle East with the aim to control the region's rich oil resources. Emboldened by its US-supported genocide in Gaza, the Zionist state of Israel, armed and directed by the US, instigated an attack on Iran using the age-old imperialist narrative of "preemptive strikes" against "potential nuclear warfare". "Israel's" recent strikes against Iran come at the back of almost two years of its genocidal attacks that had resulted in the massacre nearly 60,000 Palestinians, the complete destruction of Palestinian territory and a severe humanitarian crisis.

US-NATO continues to expand its presence in the Middle East, backing "Israel’s" genocide in Gaza, and its aggression towards Syria and Lebanon. US-NATO warships patrolled the Red Sea, bombed Yemen, and attacked Iran with further strikes, all while arming "Israel" to the teeth. We strongly condemn this global campaign of aggression, linking US-NATO’s wars in Europe to its crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, and beyond.

The way forward: From resistance to liberation

US-NATO's unrelenting wars of aggression are an indication of the deepening crisis and strategic decline of imperialism. From Europe, to the Middle East to Asia, the US is increasingly waging proxy and interventionist wars against national liberation movements and peoples who are resisting its push to impose sole global hegemony.

We stand with peoples and national liberation movements of the world against US-NATO aggression, provocation and plunder. Peoples of the world are fighting back: NATO must be dismantled! US-led Western military alliance should be defeated!

We call on all anti-imperialist forces, revolutionaries and liberation movements in the world to rise against the US-NATO war machine.

Let us build the broadest democratic united front to fight US-NATO wars of aggression, militarization and plunder.

Let us stand together in defense of rights of nations to self-determination, liberation and just peace.

Stop the US-NATO war machine!

The people united will never be defeated!

Long live international solidarity against imperialism!
