International People's Front

Workers of the world, unite and build militant fighting organizations of the working class!

Sign-on statement of the International People’s Front for International Workers Day

April 28, 2026

On this International Workers’ Day, we raise our fists in solidarity with workers and oppressed peoples across the world who continue to bear the heaviest burden of a deepening global crisis. The wealth of society is created by the labor of billions, yet the fruits of that labor are monopolized by a handful of corporations, billionaires, and imperialist powers.

The world’s people have long been subjected to ever-worsening poverty and injustice, from the dismantling of labor protections, the spread of contractualization and precarious work, and the privatization of essential services, to the rampant dispossession of peasants, farmers, and indigenous communities from their lands. The persistent stagnation and instability of the global economy have driven millions of workers to migrate in search of survival only to be subjected to anti-migrant and discriminatory policies that further exploit their vulnerability. Women workers and other oppressed sectors continue to endure low wages, unpaid care work, discrimination, and violence. The youth face rising tuition fees, unemployment, and a future marked by insecurity. But the worst is still yet to come if the current imperialist system remains unchallenged.

Today, inflation, joblessness, housing shortages, environmental destruction, and endless wars have intensified the suffering of the working class. Governments everywhere answer these crises with austerity, repression, militarization, and subsidies for big business. While workers are told to tighten their belts, the rich grow richer through exploitation, speculation, and plunder.

In every country, workers face attacks on wages, union rights, pensions, healthcare, and democratic freedoms. Migrant workers are super-exploited and scapegoated. Informal workers are abandoned without protection. Entire communities are sacrificed to profit-driven energy projects, land grabs, and corporate greed. This is the true face of a system in decay.

Against these attacks, workers must rise in their thousands and defend their rights. The urgent task of our time is to organize the broadest ranks of the working class into militant and fighting organizations. Strong unions, workers’ associations, migrant organizations, women’s committees, youth formations, and community alliances are indispensable weapons in the struggle for higher wages, secure jobs, social protection, and dignity.

Only through collective organization can workers resist layoffs, wage theft, unsafe conditions, union busting, racism, patriarchy, and state repression. Only through militant struggle can we win real gains and defend hard-fought rights. History has shown that every victory of labor was won not through charity from above, but through unity, strikes, protests, and determined mass action.

Every victory of the working class brings humanity a step closer to socialist resurgence, signaling the eventual and inevitable defeat of imperialism. As the crisis of monopoly capitalism deepens, more people are recognizing that exploitation, war, and poverty are inevitable products of a moribund system gasping for air. Through the organized power of the working class, we can open the path toward a new society founded on public ownership, democratic control of production, equality, peace, and genuine international solidarity.

On this May 1, we ask all organizations, proletarian-socialist parties, anti-imperialist groups, migrants associations and other progressive formations to transform every workplace into a center of organizing. Let workers link arms with peasants, migrants, women, youth, and all oppressed sectors in a common fight against exploitation and injustice.

The crisis of the world system will continue to worsen so long as the same system of late stage capitalism remains in place. But the workers of the world are not powerless. We are the force that moves society, and when organized, and when we fight, no power can ever defeat us.

Long live International Workers’ Day!
Build militant and fighting workers organizations!
Strengthen militant unions!

Fight exploitation, crisis, war, and repression!
Workers of all countries, unite!
